Its design accommodates different component body sizes and lead diameters, so common axial parts used on through-hole assemblies can be fed, formed, and presented reliably within a single specification range.
In the actual process, taped components are advanced by the feeder while the machine completes tape removal, lead cutting, lead bending and forming, and insertion into the PCB in one continuous sequence. The feeder’s stable pitch control keeps each step tightly connected, ensuring that formed leads match the hole spacing and that every component is inserted in a consistent position and orientation.
On the production line, the feeder’s delivery speed matches the insertion machine’s cycle, supporting automated THT insertion and providing stable insertion quality for the following wave soldering process. Automatic feeding reduces manual loading and intervention, keeps the line running continuously, and supports traceable insertion quality data.
