Material advance relies on rear clamp grip alone — the front clamp stays retracted, so the material surface passes through the front clamp zone without contact against a closed clamp face. This open-front feed limits adhesive residue buildup on internal tooling and preserves substrate flatness across varied material types, from thin protective films to thicker foam-backed tapes and copper foil rolls.

Feed position reached, the front clamp engages and the rear clamp opens, retracting to a set distance before re-tightening. This clamp reversal creates a stationary material zone under the cutting head, mechanically isolated from reel-side tension variation. A suction nozzle grips the material at the cut line, the blade trims through, and the front clamp opens. The nozzle lifts the cut segment and transfers it to the pickup station without the segment resting against the blade housing.

Blade inserts swap out for different material widths, allowing a single unit to serve multiple material specifications without recalibration or full feeder changeover. The feeder processes masking tapes, protective films, labels, foams, double-sided adhesives, conductive adhesives, copper foils, steel sheets, stiffener boards, and high-temperature tapes. The Yinuo Automatic Cutting Feeder processes copper foil rolls by advancing the strip through a rear-clamp-only feed motion. With the front clamp open during transport, the foil does not experience the bidirectional grip that can deform its cross-section or imprint surface marks. Copper foil with a thickness below 0.1 mm bends under clamp pressure; keeping the front side free during feed preserves the flat profile needed for uniform surface contact in shielding and grounding applications.

Position reached, the front clamp closes, the rear clamp releases and retracts to its setback, then grips again. The foil strip is now stationary under the blade.
